The first Hot trod classic timecard enduro on the 26/09/10 info.

We are going to be catering for all enduro bikes 25 years and older, 1985 back as far as you like. They will be split into 5 year segments, for example, 1981 to '85, 1976 to 1980, 1971 to 1975 etc ect. The beauty of this is that each year another group of bikes becomes eligible, next year will be 1986 models, and every 5 years one particular year group is top of the list, i.e. next year (2011) the 1981 bikes will be the top of year group  1977 to 1981.

As far as I know there is not a club catering for the non twinshock bikes of the early eighties which is a shame as there was a lot of changes in this period, monoshocks, disc brakes, watercooling ect.  Some bikes I can think of being the Yamaha IT's, Suzuki PE Floaters, Kawasaki KDX's, Honda XR mono's, KTM monoshock, Armstrong/CanAm,  Cagiva 125/200 WRLC's. These bikes are in danger of being ignored and forgotten.

We will also have a class for Trail bikes using the same year format, DT Yamaha's, TS Suzuki's, KE Kawasaki's and so on.

Our First event is going to be on the 26th September 2010 and will be called 'The Hot Trod' . It will be a proper time card enduro and based loosely on the French Normandy Retro Enduro (sadly missed). We would like to make it a weekend affair with camping at the start, some sort of catering on the saturday evening, a concour's perhaps. Also the area is awash with B&Bs and places to stay for the not so hardy. For riders coming from the continent the event is about an hours drive from the ferries in Newcastle.
The going will be open moorland, farm tracks, Forestry, grass and stubble fields. Timing will be very generous with the whole emphasis being on FUN!!!  We envisage 3 classes of riders, Expert, which is anyone who is still riding any events regularly (modern clubman standard), Clubman A for those who only ride occasionally and don't wish to give themselves a heart attack and Clubman B for any one else who just wants a gentle potter about on their old bike.

The course will be in the region of 15 miles, and no roadwork so bikes do not have to be road legal but we would like to see working lights.  5 laps for Experts, 4 for Clubman A and 3 for Clubman B with a special test starting after lap one, the special test on lap one will be a sighting lap. We may also throw in a few more interesting parts of the course for the Experts but the main part of the course will be rideable by anybody.

Regs out for the 26/09/2010 1st Hot trod Classic time card Enduro in North Northumberland near Wooler. Limited entry to 100 riders so get your entrys in early to avoid disappointment! See regs page for entry form!

Change to the Working lights rule in the regs. LIGHTS MUST BE FITTED! BUT THEY DO NOT HAVE TO BE WORKING! So no more 30 point penalty from them not working.

Here we have a original 1986 Kielder Hot trod enduro program!
More programs to follow.....

Some more programs courtesy of Neil Douglas. (sorry if you cant make them out very well, will try to take more clear pictures)
